This was a complicated system that required players to lookup 10+ different variations and requires a large population and faction team work.

Since this is not where we are in terms of player population, I've decided to remove it completely.

The new limits will be 3 simple catagories.

  • Universe, which counts blocks on all servers.
  • Server, which counts blocks only on that server.
  • Grid, which only counts blocks for that grid.

A much easier system for designers, PvEvP players, and others.

09-September-2025

  • It is not updated for Apex features.
  • Food, planet mods require more time to adjust but we are adding items to the daily and monthly vote rewards.
  • Radiation, at its minimal setting you will still feel its effects over time. Radiation packs come with every daily vote!!!

  • This only works for players who have connected their Discord account to their in-game account.

  • You will receive alerts in this chat when in game events occur including:
  • War declaration
  • Peace requested/accepted
  • New member application
  • Member left/kicked
  • Friendship request/accepted

I'm hoping our chat link system is now working correctly, you can interact with in-game players on any server.

  • Use the server specific channel to only discord with those members.
  • Use the universal channel to discord with all members.
Apex is still new and we may experience issues, such as NPC spawning where they are disabled.

Your stations may be at risk. This is a Keen issue, not a server error. Not establishing a minimum level of self protection is not an excuse. Players can still raid bases… for now… maybe not later… still debating with the wall.

Shields may be op in regards to mining and torpedo/ram damage.

  • We have tweaked the shields and they should apply the same reduction/protection to everything except grinders, welders, and thrusters.

  • Quantum Batteries
    • Received a fix and minor buff.
    • Removed debug stuff.
    • Improved performance.
  • Gallium Collectors
    • Collection rate increased by a factor of 15 (15x stronger)
    • Collectors will not work when the grid or any connected grid is static.
    • Any collectors inside of a 200m radius will cause a 4% penalty. They are competing for the same resource in a small area.
    • Added information in the block UI. This will warn you if it detects the grid in static mode, there are other collectors nearby, and the penalty rate.
    • Also, don't forget I increased the base rate 15x :)
  • Review of Mk3 Yield, Speed and Special Module.
    • Mk3 Speed Module received a large reduction on power cost (now cost much less).
    • Special Module received a nerf on power cost (now cost more).
  • Reactors
    • Type-U offers more power for a total of 5.553GW
    • Type-U offers more energy per uranium ingot.
    • Type-T offers more power for a total of 9.553GW

Please note that these changes should be live after the noon restart.

  • Missing Icons
    • Some icons were missing in the assembler view. Now some are not missing.
  • Quantum Batteries
    • Should work as expected again.
  • Updated Discord command ``/player mydata``
    • Works again.

The server will be going offline Sunday at noon for updates. I will need to test features on Nexus that probably are not stable and will just crash so… A backup of the worlds will be made and restored when done. Also will be performing some other operations and will announce the completion and results.

We are in the process of testing and adding new Discord commands for our players.

``/player mydata``

  • If you have connected your discord account to your game account, you will see all the data we have collected about you.
    • This data is mostly vanilla data in relation to the game, and your discord id.

``/player connect``

  • To connect your discord account to your game account.
    • This will be required to receive Boosting rewards. We will offer a grace for the upcoming rewards.

``/player remove``

  • Removed all discord data from your in-game information. This will unlink your discord from the game and you will stop receiving any rewards that require this link.

Future commands are planned allowing players to interact with the game content live.

You MUST connect your Discord account to your in-game account to receive boost rewards. August boost rewards will be the last rewards offered without this connection.

Hopefully this will remove the Seamless issue when players join the lobby then transfer to another world, they are unable to build/grind/weld/mine.

We run many custom plugins, and as part of this entended update period we also updated them to take advantage of new optimisations and features. More details will be released on them in the future.

Quantum Shields 3 tiers of Quantum Shield Emitters have been added We expect these to require more balancing. The cost *should* remain the same though.

Dockyard Update Several updates to our Dockyard system will become available after the 12:00 restart!!!!

*Player Ports*

  • Loading a grid will no longer transfer ownership. If you grid is auto-docked due to time away, you will no longer have any ownership headaches to resolve.

*AutoDock*

  • After 3 days offline, any grids with no active respawn blocks will be sent to your Dockyard.
  • After 14 days offline, all grids will be sent to your Dockyard.

*Faction Ports*

  • All factions now have access to a Faction Port from the Dockyard Plugin
  • For testing/trials, we will not limit factions to a minimum membership limit to use this.
  • The default limit is currently 6 berths per faction.
  • If you leave your faction, any grids in the faction port will transfer automatically to your personal port.
  • The faction founder and leaders can lock berths with grids in them, preventing regular members from loading the grid.

  • Removed all limits from WeaponCore. This allows us to manage the limits in game for various classes without breaking your creative experience.
  • Removed Thorium Ingot cost from all weapons except the Nuke. Some of the cost were so low it was pointless. 0.1 ingot per round.. It's just a limitation against new players. Yeeted.
  • All Magnesuim cost were increased 10x. Even a new player can find Magnesium too PvP/PvE without needing to PvP/PvE for it first.

  • Almost all of our in-house mods had another review and received updates to correct miner errors-
  • Class blocks have been updated and will be re-added to the server after midnight restart.
    • All class blocks will have the same build cost. This is to ensure the block cost is not a limiting factor for the RPS mechanic.
  • Trash system update has been pushed to the server. This should help manage debris, player grids, and debris better. Keens built in system is lacking and waiting for restarts to keep the players exerience optimised is too slow.
  • *Special* Event 01 is in its final stages. After a review, only 2 mods require work and some design work to the infrustructure. Should be ready to go …. *SOOOOOOON*

  • ICP detects and announces new signals to all players on all servers. These signals come with loot including Ammo, Nukes, Thorium/Titanium (and other ores), and more.
  • After this update released… Thora will begin a weekly purge.
  • All grids will be deleted during the 18:00 Restart.
  • Planet will be reset.
  • Special asteroids *may* begin to appear.
  • Resets will occure every friday… time of day: 18:00 Restart
  • Special asteroids may also appear during other peak and non peak hours for players who work all hours of the night.
  • Adjustment to Drill PCU and Class bock component costs.
  • Wiki may or may not be updated in time with all the details.
  • Grids limits and player limits are already posted in the wiki with only a few items missing or needing adjustment.
  • Faction and Universe limits will come after initial testing is complete.

  • Ejection from connectors, ejectors, etc will not be possible.

Ejection will instantly delete the queued item from the universe. Eject all to your hearts content. It is your responsability to ensure you don't eject by accident as you will not see items being ejected. They are gone. Not logged. No ticket will help you.

  • Thora Region will no longer allow grids to be set into Station Mode.
UD MODs
  • Fixed an issue where our custom alerts were not showing.
  • Possible fix for issue with Jumpdrives not jumping.
  • JumpZone messages not showing.. now show.
  • AlertZone messages not showing.. now show.
Container Inventory
  • After feedback from players and another review, we will be reducing the inventory capacity of all container inventories.

Existing blocks in the world should not be affected but new ones, undocked ones, fixshiped ones, grids restored from a backup, etc.. will have the updates inventory availability.

  • It is STRONGLY advised all players build new containers and transfer their contents over as soon as possible. There will only be a limited time window where staff will aid in the recovers of lost inventors.
  • If you need assistance please create a ticket and when staff is available they can place a new container of the same tier and type, you must be ready to transfer the inventory over immediately so they can remove the old container.

== Thrusters

  • All tiered thrusters will have the following changes:
    • Force balance (almost all will receive an increase).
    • Flame/Exaust damage range increase.
    • Flame model range increase.
    • Power/Fuel required increased (The rate the power increases each tier is more than the rate of fuel/energy requirement increase)

> Flat Atmospheric Thruster MK1+ have the same rating as their normal counterparts of the same tier.

The ⁠`👋┃welcome` Mods section has been updated to show all the public mods we use in appreciation and respect of their work.

We are adding a new mod to the server!! SE MiniMap is a radar mod that doesn't require the use of your programmable block. This mod will become active after the next server restart. We are going to start testing it only in Thora region to begin with. If there are no issues it will be expanded to all servers. As this is a rather featureful mod, I do suggest you head over to the mod page and read the instructions on how to use it in all its capacity. Mod link can be found in the updated ⁠`👋┃welcome` channel under the MODS banner!

  • The wiki now contains information on how to deal with excess stone both before and after its an issue. Check it out:

  • Alternatively, here's the info:
    • !stone - Removes all stone on the grid your looking at (you must own it).
    • !togglestone - Prevents owned drills from collection stone. Use the command again to disable it and collect stone.
    • You can also label all your drills with !drill if you want to specify only specific drills to not collect stone.

  • The rules in our Wiki have been cleaned up.
  • Accessing the translations are much easier.
  • Translations are displayed the same as English, not a bullet point list anymore.
  • The rules now reflect those shown in ⁠`🔸┃rules` channel on our Discord server.
  • If there are any mistakes in your translation, please create a ticket. We want them to be correct so they can be properly understood.
  • If you feel your language should be added, and its not a distant dialect spoken by three people… create a ticket and let us know.

This is our own hangar system with extra features and spawning accuracy. Torch appears to also have an unannounced update also.

The Lobby will remain online until all other instances are updated, then the Lobby will require a restart also.

  • Nerfed: We don't want spawnships jumping 2000km and we definitely don't want players jumping across the universe with a couple of MK1 jumpdrives. This brings the - initial jump range of a spawnship to 40km. All MK tier is a 12x improvement over the previous level.
  • Increased the amount of inventory all MK blocks should have. You may need to grind down and replace any existing MK container blocks to see the change.
  • Large block inventory has a higher increase at 2.3x the previous tier.
  • Small block inventory has a smaller increase at 1.3x the previous tier due to lower cost to the player and more server cost per area. We much rather you use large grid!
  • Removed the reduction in benefits from higher tiered versions. Not sure why this was introduced but a straight progression now applies.
  • The difference between small tiers is now 1.8x.
  • The difference between large tiers is now 2.3x.
  • Increased surface gravity to 1.8.
  • Decreased gravity effects which allows players to jump much closer to the planet surface…. and Thorium Asteroid…
  • Drill rate reduced slightly in all instances.
  • Drill rate in Thora Region reduced even morer.
  • Runtime limits changed. runtime max is now 2ms but average runtime remains 0.5ms. Going over the average will punish you!
  • Punishments will remain (TurnOff) but if abuse appears I will change to to destroy the block.
  • Thorium Fuel Cell now has its gui icon fixed.
  • Missing thorium fuel cells has been re-added.
  • Updated Quantum Batteries with the latest models.
  • Updated Quantum Batteries so they do not have 130 recharge rate, sorry no free power.
  • Performance monitoring tools added.

Our Mod Collection on steam is almost done, we should have a creative world ready

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ Mining of Thorium craters has released a Thorium gas into the atmosphere and surrounding space around Thora. This effects jumpdrives ability to function. You can no longer jump into or while inside of a 70km radius from Thora Planet (center of planet is used for calculation).

  • I've adjusted server save frequency from every 15 mins to every 5 mins for all instances except the Lobby and Interstellar Space. This should reduce rollback amount for crashes.
  • This will become active at the next restart for each instance. Thank you for your patience while we work through issues and balancing.

!!! The lobby is now open to the public. I will be bringing all the servers online slowly over the next hour or so. Please be kind to them. !!!

We do not have all the public plugins updated from Keens Fieldwork update and we are still implementing ours. You will notice some features come online tomorrow during the day, I will try to keep you all updated to each change.

For now, enjoy the lobby and the next server to come online will be Aquaras Region. Our own water world, complete with …. water!!!!
